Brighten Your Smile With Professional Teeth Whitening Solutions
Over time, our teeth get more and more stains. Even those who brush their teeth religiously may find there are some stains they just can’t get rid of — even when using teeth whitening toothpaste and other over-the-counter remedies. Professional teeth whitening solutions, however, offer immediate and long-lasting results. Peak Family Dental Care provides our patients with top-quality whitening treatments using the KöR® Whitening System. Dr. Bryan J. Shanahan provides cutting-edge care at an affordable price. Give us a call and set up an appointment and we’ll make sure that you’re proud to smile again.
Is Professional Teeth-Whitening Worth the Cost?
We can tell you this with confidence: Professional teeth whitening with the KöR® Whitening System provides much better results than you are likely to find with some mix of peroxide strips and teeth-whitening toothpaste. Nonetheless, the principle that governs both solutions is basically the same. Over-the-counter strips, gels, mouthwash, and toothpaste contain a small amount of bleaching chemicals. Generally, this is hydrogen peroxide. The gels that we use, however, are much stronger than the store-bought varieties and their potency is increased by the method by which we apply it.
The store-bought solutions are prohibited from containing as much of the active ingredient as those available to dentists. There is a chance that someone could injure themselves if they used too much or applied it improperly. Professional dentists know what they’re doing and can use more of the solution with safer (and better) results. Additionally, store-bought solutions come in various strengths none of which as strong as professional-grade options.
Professional Teeth Whitening at an Affordable Cost
Peak Family Dental Care provides our patients with the highest quality treatments currently available on the market today. The KöR® Whitening System can get your teeth to 14 shades lighter than they were prior. This simply cannot be matched by over-the-counter store-bought solutions.
Also available at our office are take-home kits that prevent your saliva from diluting the peroxide used to whiten your teeth. With the KöR® Whitening System, you see better results faster.
Professional teeth whitening provided by our team can brighten your smile by up to 14 shades.
What Causes Teeth Staining?
- Black Tea – A lot of folks enjoy black tea but it’s one of the worst drinks for staining teeth. These and other foods contain chromagens that stain teeth. Additionally, red wine, berries, tomato sauce, and other chromogen-laden food will do the same thing.
- Acidic Foods – Acidic foods wear down the enamel in your teeth making them more porous. This makes them discolor more quickly.
What to Expect During Your Treatment
If you’ve ever used the teeth-whitening trays purchased from the drugstore, then you will understand how the KöR® Whitening System works. There are two parts to the process. First, there is an in-office cleaning and then, your dentist can make custom trays for your mouth. These will prevent future discoloration even in older Americans whose teeth are prone to getting stained. If you like to drink your black tea, you won’t have to give it up. The teeth-whitening trays are fitted for your individual mouth and, once they’re made, you will have them forever. Your dentist will then provide you with a kit that includes the teeth-whitening solution
Essentially, an in-office treatment contains an extra-strength whitening solution that is applied directly to your teeth. Afterward, we can get you fitted with trays that allow you to maintain the brightness of your teeth no matter what you eat or drink.
